Domestika is misleading thousands of users with a sneaky subscription model that becomes nearly impossible to cancel once invoiced. They operate in the murky (sewer-like) waters of legality, and it reeks.
After filing a claim with PayPal, I managed to get a refund. PayPal acknowledged that while Domestika's practices might be technically legal—due to some small, vague print indicating a subscription—the way they present it is deliberately misleading. There's no clear opt-in, no obvious button indicating you're about to be charged for a recurring plan. It's deceptive by design.
The fact that Domestika refuses to issue refunds after payment further proves their intention to trap users. It’s unethical and disgraceful.
PayPal stated that the refund was granted as a gesture of goodwill. I’m deeply disappointed that Domestika is still allowed to operate with such predatory practices. I will continue to raise awareness and file complaints until they’re held accountable—or run out of customers.
