    Terrible service

    This summer my family had an awful experience with Cozy Suites, losing us more than a $150. Their communication was so bad that my wife and I were convinced they were a scam company. They are either intentionally fraudulent or just very bad at what they do. If you choose to stay with them, read everything carefully and look at every photo before you make your reservation. You are likely to encounter exorbitant hidden charges and a lack of accountability if you complain (see our story below). It seems likely to us that Whimstay is a failing start-up that is doing its best to hold on to all the money it can before it goes belly-up, unworried about alienating customers. Be prepared for them to side with their property clients over customers in any dispute. My family and I were on an end-of-summer road trip. I was booking stays along the way, and I came across the Cozy Suites listing in Louisville through Whimstay. The original quote was $66, which seemed amazing. After I clicked through to Whimstay and all the fees were added on, the price had increased by $100. It was more than we wanted to pay but the place looked nice. We have a dog and it said pet friendly in several places. I looked at the pictures on the landing page and read all the text. There was no pet fee listed It seemed like a good place, so we booked it. About an hour later, I got a message from Cozy Suites asking me to agree to several terms including that I would not bring a pet. I wrote back saying we had a dog, and we thought the place was pet friendly. They told me they would charge me another $100 for our dog. Immediately I asked to cancel and be refunded but both Cozy Suites and Whimstay refused, telling me that the pet fee was announced on the listing. The email from Cozy Suites was especially off-putting, repeating my name over and over in weirdly ungrammatical sentences. It reminded me of those phishing emails you get from “Nigerian princes”. It turns out that the pet fee is on the listing but in a photo (but not on the landing page). If you don’t click through to the picture page and read all of the 40+ pictures you will miss it because the pet policy is in the very last picture. Additionally, the pet policy allows only dogs under 40lbs, meaning we couldn’t stay there even if we wanted to because our dog is over 50lbs. They refused to help us even though we asked for cancelation within a few hours of booking. Cozy Suites is either fraudulent or just very bad at communication and customer relations. Whimstay will not protect you from their mistakes.

    BEWARE OF THIS UNETHICAL AND DISHONEST COMPANY! We reserved a lovely rental property through Whimstay's site on August 6 for $3737. Our trip was planned for October. Sadly, due to unforeseen events, we quickly recognized that we might have to cancel our reservation. Whimstay has a strict 60-day cancellation policy, so until we were certain, we took the initiative to collect information on how to cancel and if our reason for possibly cancelling would be eligible for the insurance they provided. My husband tried several times to access the Whimstay website on August 14 to gather more information about cancellation and insurance, well before the 60-day limit. He couldn't log in, as the verification emails never came through (and yes, he checked SPAM and promotional folders). Moreover, I couldn't locate a phone number anywhere on Whimstay's site. It said to reach customer support via email only. So I sent an email to Whimstay on August 17 about cancellation policy information and inquiries regarding travel insurance, since the info on their website was very vague.

    Visited last Friday with my family and pets, and we found black mold in the place. Rust around the bathtub and cockroaches running about. The balcony was uneven and cracked. I was scared to let my kids or pets out there, worried they might fall from the second floor. The fridge had a terrible smell and was rusty inside. The electrical outlet was broken, affecting the room's lights and TV. It was a real disaster. When I contacted them, they offered a partial refund, which felt like an insult. Check the photos and decide for yourself.

    My spouse and I mistakenly made

    My spouse and I mistakenly made a double booking for a recent trip. Despite realizing the error promptly within an hour, our attempts to cancel with WhimStay were met with resistance. Dealing with this company proved to be quite a hassle, and we've decided to steer clear of them in the future. I strongly recommend others to avoid this questionable company and opt for direct bookings with the property management company instead.

    Avoid this company like the plague. I made the mistake of booking a hotel in Puerto Vallarta through them three weeks ago for a seven-night stay over New Year's Eve. They completely messed up with their supplier and left me stranded with no alternatives. As someone who works in the travel industry, I strongly advise steering clear of this unprofessional outfit.

    AVOID USING!!

    AVOID USING!! I booked with Whimstay and regret not checking them out online or on BBB first. Their reviews are really bad. If you cancel less than 60 days before your stay, you have to pay the WHOLE COST unless you buy travel coverage. There are plenty of other rental companies to use, I wouldn't suggest this one and won’t book with them again.

    This company is a ripoff, use a different site. They won't refund you, and there's no phone number to contact them, just email with no response. You'll end up ignored and upset trying to get help from their support.

    Room unclean

    Bugs in bedroom, sand and dirt in hallway, found a dead bug in the linens, some gross crusted... something in the couch cracks. And the living room had a faint piss smell.
