Man, that cruise was a blast!

Man, that cruise was a blast! Sure, there were a couple of hiccups, but hey, who doesn't have those nowadays? The Chart Room and Gin and Fizz Bars could use a bit more hands on deck – wait times got a bit crazy. Entertainment was mostly a hit, though those production shows need a serious makeover. The ship itself was a stunner, and our BC stateroom? Immaculate. Food was good, with just a few items needing a flavor boost. Drinks were reasonable and on point. Spa was top-notch, and the Golden Lion Pub was a real crowd-pleaser. Shore excursions didn't disappoint, and the service? Stellar all around. So, yeah, pretty darn good cruise!

This is our first cruise

This is our first cruise and it really beat our expectations. We were on the Queen Victoria for the 17 day cruise from Singapore to Cape Town travelling with my wife and my two parents, and it is such a memorable experience. The food, crew and activities were of good quality. Never really a dull moment with plenty to do and see. More importantly is this allows me and my wife to rest and enjoy the luxuries on the ship. Looking forward to coming onboard again!

Oh, let me tell you about our Queen Mary 2 adventure from England to NYC in Nov. 2023 – absolutely epic! Seriously, the best vacation ever. Even rocked the cheapest inside cabin, and it was like stepping into luxury. The treatment? Pure royalty vibes. It's insane how much bang you get for your buck. Total steal! I'm shouting from the rooftops – go for it, can't recommend it enough!

Taken this trip a few times, always enjoy but QM2 is starting to look old! Staff was very welcoming, menu options always nice but food came lukewarm. Always better than flying if you have the time!!

I experienced my first Cunard cruise

I experienced my first Cunard cruise aboard the Queen Victoria, traveling from Sydney to Hong Kong. The food and service were satisfactory, and my cabin was comfortable. The dress code, which was smart casual and cocktail for formal nights, was clearly explained beforehand, so I wasn't surprised by it. However, I found the cruise to be rather dull. The activities offered, such as bridge lessons, whist groups, watercolor lessons, and music from past decades, were not particularly engaging for someone like me, who is 65 years old. Overall, while my experience with Cunard was decent, I don't think I'll be opting for another cruise with them anytime soon.

Dealing with Cunard?

Dealing with Cunard? What a mission. Getting different answers, simple questions leaving them stumped, and the phone crew feeling like they skipped training day – not the smoothest sailing. Onboard, the bar service is like waiting for paint to dry – slow and painful. Food? Meh, average at best, and I'm no giant, but the portions left me wanting more. The Club Balcony cabin was alright, kept tidy by our steward, but spots like the balcony and some public places need a serious refresh – rust and grubby carpets? No thanks. Entertainment? A total letdown. It felt like a high school talent show gone wrong. Seems like Cunard's basking in some long-lost glory days. Time for a serious revamp, I'd say.
