Customer service is wonderful.

Customer service is wonderful. Supportive and the payment team is ready to help lower fees in some instances. It's good that they spend time to understand the issue and deal fairly with the client with due respect.

The company seems fine

The company seems fine overall, but we faced a problem with our IP getting flagged for bad stuff on many dns providers like CloudFlare. It seems like our VPS IP was used for illegal things before. Even after changing our IP, it still got flagged. Except for the flagged IPs, we had no issues with Amazon. Prices are good and uptime is steady.

I handle a lot of self-managed virtual

I handle a lot of self-managed virtual private servers on AWS - for me and my job. Never had a problem with reliability, but the prices are getting pretty mean. Hard to guess your bill, everything costs extra: data, IP address, storage, services … and the billing model and strange pricing seem like they're made to hide the real cost. Almost every other provider now has a MUCH better deal - more power, lower cost, clear pricing. I’m slowly moving our services from AWS.

We requested $1000 AWS credits through

We requested $1000 AWS credits through the AWS ACTIVE STARTUP PLAN. Our startup was confirmed and approved, and then the credit was added to our account by the AWS team. Two days later, we got an email saying they put our "Account on Hold" and asked for a bank statement. We’ve sent it 3 or 4 times, but they keep rejecting it. It’s been over a month, and our account is still ON HOLD. Their servers are really good, but AWS itself is quite unreliable.

It’s been 4 years since I ended my AWS trial

It’s been 4 years since I ended my AWS trial, and yet I still get that 'loyal' email every month asking for £0.0. Surely the AWS programmers could make a simple program to check whether the account is active or not before sending these emails? I have screenshots to prove it. Kind of reminds me of my favorite song, Eagles’ Hotel California - “you can check out but you can never leave” :)

Disappointing service.

Disappointing service. I signed up to give it a shot, but later removed my account. Now, when I try to sign up again, I get rejected... "account cannot be activated due to activity or patterns related to fraudelent behavior." This makes me see why so many content creators have stopped partnering with them.
