The Accent Advisor program is amazing

The Accent Advisor program is amazing, and I'm really impressed with the quality of their coaches. Especially, I want to mention the great job of my coach, Michelle Cojocariu. I've been speaking English for business for about 20 years and lived in the USA for around 11 years. Though I was good at English, I struggled with some sounds. People often had to listen carefully to understand me. Honestly, at first, I wasn't sure. I didn't think I could improve my accent as an adult, but I decided to try. Michelle has a lot of experience in teaching. From the start, she identified the sounds I was pronouncing wrong. She worked hard on how to make the sounds right, like moving my lips and tongue. Michelle is very clever; when I had trouble with some sounds, she found a way to help me. Now we read and work on sounds together, which is great. I've been with Michelle for about 4-5 months, and I can see a big difference. People often say how much my accent has improved. Before, I could only focus on one conversation in social settings. Now I can talk to one person and understand others too, something I could only do in my native language before.

In just two months, meeting three times a week, I've improved way more than I thought I could. Unlike other apps and classes online that give everyone the same exercises, Emanuel personalizes everything. He noticed small mistakes I didn't even realize I was making, ones my American husband couldn't even pick up on. With his good ear and deep understanding of pronunciation, he explained these mistakes clearly and showed me how to fix them. It's like a light turned on! I finally get why my accent sounded off, and now I have the tools and knowledge to make it better. Emanuel really knows his stuff, but what really makes him stand out is how comfortable and encouraging he makes learning. He's patient, supportive, and makes learning really enjoyable! He's a real treasure!

My teacher, Katie, is great because she always listens carefully to how I speak and notices mistakes that I might miss. Sometimes, I don't know where I'm going wrong with my pronunciation. Her help makes me better at speaking English. It would be better if she could suggest more materials for me to use.

Jed is really patient and a good teacher. He explains things clearly and practices a lot with me in class. My accent got much better with just 25 minutes twice a week with him. People say they understand me well.

Joseph Davidson has the skills and know-how to guide the class and assist students in correcting their errors. Joseph could be a bit firmer about starting the class on time (Our lessons are 25 minutes, and every minute counts for the student) and make the class more lively with the students. Lively = Using different methods to cover the topic. Some parts will be more conversational, others will involve more reading, etc. The main goal is to encourage students to think and come up with ideas.

Accent Advisor is a bit tricky to rate.

Accent Advisor is a bit tricky to rate. Support is good and teaching materials are personalized, easy to understand and share. However, teacher might not have full schedules due to fewer students.
