Bought some tees. Only wore 6 times. Long sleeve tee got a hole near pocket. Customer service zero. 30 day warranty and that's it. No help. Chat disconnected. Can't show CS convo or short. Save your money.

I've been a loyal customer of Madewell for quite some time now. While I haven't encountered many problems, I must say their website and app design have always been quite challenging. I've come across smaller businesses with apps that are easier to navigate. Today, I placed an order and received an email confirming the wrong item. I'm quite careful when making online purchases, especially with discounts involved. Thankfully, I caught the error before the item shipped. However, my interaction with customer service was disheartening. They weren't very helpful and seemed indifferent to my situation. They mentioned creating a ticket to cancel the order, but there was no assurance it would be successful. Since it's a sale item, returning it wouldn't be an option if it ships. It's disappointing that a company known for quality products doesn't seem to prioritize quality customer service.

Communication was lacking. I got a suede bag that smelled bad, but it matched what I wanted (size, shape, color, price). I hesitated to return it. When I reached out about the stench through chat and email, all I got was a return label. No real answers or help with the issue. They only use virtual assistants for initial communication, no phone support. It was a real hassle.

Madewell's email marketing practices are problematic. Despite repeated attempts to reduce or unsubscribe from their emails, I continue to receive them daily. This persistent spamming is not only frustrating but also potentially illegal. Madewell needs to address this issue promptly to respect customers' preferences and comply with regulations.

My experience with Madewell has been disappointing, to say the least. Despite ordering a handbag for my daughter in November and paying promptly, the communication regarding delivery was abysmal. Only after reaching out did I learn that the item was out of stock, with a new delivery date set for January. Yet, here we are in January, still without the bag and no updates on its status. The lack of transparency and prolonged delivery times make for a frustrating online shopping experience. Madewell needs to address these issues promptly to regain trust and ensure better customer satisfaction.
