    Beware

    Howly does not tell you up front about a monthly charge to your credit card. They tell you it will only cost you a dollar which is refundable. After you agree to a dollar your credit card automatically get hit with a $36 charge. This charge appears monthly. SCAM

    100% scam

    I was transferred to Howly from Uber for a "more thorough answer to my question" and ended up being charged for a subscription that I never heard of, authorized, or wanted. Paypal contacted them but they respond to every complaint this way (paraphrased): We tell all customers up front about the fees that are non-refundable. That is a complete lie.

    Never Got Assistance

    I was redirected from Paypal website. Looked legit, but I never got assistance after paying "$1 refundable" by credit card. The deceptive part is they also enrolled me into a monthly $46 membership, which was not disclosed with the $1 fee. They sent me a "Welcome" email which does not allow cancellations. I had to dispute the charge through me credit card, which is still not resolved. Still never got assistance.

    Don't know what they are doing. It says one time charge of $1 for help then they sneak in a monthly prescription. There help was completely useless and did not even demonstrate a familiarity with the platform. Another Internet scam.

    What a scam! Attempted a simple PDF to Excel conversion for 1€49, only to be hit with a 49€ charge weeks later. The signup process likely buried additional fees, misleading many others facing similar issues. I'll be cautioning my network to steer clear of this company.

    Less than honest

    I was trying to raise a complaint with Audible, about a recording which failed to work. I was put on a link to Howly, with the information that the cost would be £1 - refundable. But when I had completed the PayPal transaction, I was informed that the price was £24. I of course protested. There followed a series of repetitive questions, and the completely false assertion that the true cost had been fully explained. In addition, some completely inappropriate advice was given about the failed recording. Luckily, the nonsense eventually came to an end, and a refund promised. Ithat is the only reason for even one star rating. I will return to this site, and to the Audible site, if the refund does not materialise. Not quite a scam, but very, very shady.

    I recently had a fantastic experience with a technician who was incredibly patient with me. At almost 68, all this new tech can be a bit overwhelming. I’ve just bought a new computer and am still figuring out how to use it. The technician took the time to explain everything in a way that I could understand and never made me feel rushed. I felt comfortable asking questions, and he answered every one of them kindly. Thanks to his help, I’m now feeling much more confident using my new computer. It's nice to know there are people out there willing to go the extra mile to help those of us who aren’t so tech-savvy.

    David F was awesome, super helpful and patient while I was figuring things out. The chat app worked well and was easy to navigate. Felt good about the whole thing at first. But then, surprise! I got hit with a $38 charge for the HOWLY program. They had made it sound like it was just a $1 one-time, refundable fee. Turns out, I needed HOWLY to get my answers, but didn't expect the extra cost. Feeling a bit scammed here. It's frustrating when things aren't as clear as they should be.

    The agent was very patient with me because I'm not tech savvy! It took 30+ minutes to get the link working correctly, and he waited to ensure I connected. I was upset after paying a lot and joining Howly, which I can't afford. I explained this, and he fixed it right away. As a nurse for 3 decades, this care reminds me of my own.     Stacy was very kind and helpful.

    Stacy was very kind and helpful. She seemed to know a lot and guided me well through fixing my two problems. Although the Howly system for remote fixes wasn't working, Stacy handled everything. Her instructions were easy to follow. When I missed some steps, she showed me other ways to solve them. We got everything sorted out!
