Handig, maar niet magisch

Koppelen, wachten, en boem: bijna alles klopt. Tot je rare DeFi-dingen hebt, dan is het wat handwerk. Vind ik oké, want overzicht en rapporten schelen me echt uren. Prijs tikt aan bij veel transacties, maar de rust in mijn hoofd is het waard.

Starten zonder gedoe

Account maken en wallets koppelen ging vlot. De instructies voor import via API en CSV waren helder. Fijn: automatische matching van transfers tussen exchanges en EVM-wallets. Opvallend tijdens het leren: foutmeldingen zijn klikbaar naar de transactie en je ziet direct de FIFO- vs LIFO-instelling.

Snelle, behulpzame support

Chat reageerde binnen een uur, duidelijke uitleg over staking-classificatie. Mijn rapport werd daarna correct herberekend. Prettig professioneel, zeker zo vlak voor de aangifte-deadline.

Belastingen eindelijk op orde

API-koppelingen met exchanges waren zo klaar en CSV’s werden goed herkend. Dashboard maakte fouten zichtbaar, interne transfers werden correct gematcht. Ik had een classificatie-issue; support reageerde met duidelijke stappen en het rapport werd netjes herberekend. Pluspunt: jurisdictie-instellingen en export in bekend formaat.

I reached out to support and within 24 hrs their AI discovered the issue and fixed it. Some of it had to do with time stamps. The AI also saw a try from me to change a transaction, which I did wrong, so it fixed that too. Really amazing.

Every year when tax time comes, I’m always happy to see how Koinly keeps getting better. The changes may look small, but they really add up. One cool feature I like is the option to archive old wallets and exchanges. It’s simple but super handy for staying organized. I have 16 archived now and more on the way, lol. When I started with crypto, doing taxes was a real mess, especially with all my futures trading. It felt way too much. But after learning Koinly, everything became smooth and less stressful. The design is neat, the tools are strong, and the automation saves me loads of time. If you’re into crypto and want to keep your taxes easy without stress, Koinly is a smart choice. Very recomended!

It was a bit annoying switching back and forth between Koinly chat and Kraken to get the discount I should have had (Kraken users, remember you get 25% off reports), but in the end, it got fixed. The platform works well for tracking your portfolio and most wallets connect easily. The reports are also quite easy to understand.

The clean and easy-to-use design with lots of filters and tags helps a lot when managing many transactions. Being able to view the tax report results without any limits before signing up really convinced me to go with this service. The one downside is that customer support takes some time to reply.

Generating reports is really easy. With just a little guidance, you can quickly move from adding your account to creating comprehensive reports that you can send to your accountant. No more stressing over small transactions or trying to figure out how to get that Excel file to your accountant in a clear way. Also, contacting support to adjust accounting dates has been simple. Sometimes accountants need different filing periods.

Simple to use and set up. Helpful answers when problems come up. There are also guides and videos to assist you in connecting various accounts, which is very useful. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because a couple of mistakes appeared from auto imports that needed manual corrections to fix the transactions. A feature that would improve the user experience would be to have a record of previous import settings (especially timezone) when importing manually to prevent mistakes.
